About the Role

• Position: Safeguarding Officer

• Contract: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of the school's safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Respond to safeguarding concerns and ensure they are recorded and escalated appropriately.

• Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date safeguarding records.

• Liaise with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies where required.

• Support staff with safeguarding guidance and ensure concerns are dealt with promptly.

• Promote a safe and supportive environment for all pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience in a safeguarding, pastoral or child protection role.

• Possesses a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.

• Communicates confidently and sensitively with pupils, parents and colleagues.

• Can handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.

• Is highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
