About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Physics across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 where appropriate. You will deliver engaging lessons that make complex concepts accessible, encourage analytical thinking and help students understand how Physics applies to the world around them.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons for students of varying abilities.

• Teach topics including forces, energy, electricity, waves and motion.

• Develop students' scientific knowledge, mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities.

• Organise practical investigations in accordance with health and safety procedures.

• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.

• Prepare students for examinations and encourage independent learning.

• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong subject knowledge in Physics.

• Can explain challenging concepts clearly and deliver engaging lessons.

• Demonstrates effective classroom management and communication skills.

• Is committed to raising attainment and encouraging students to develop a genuine interest in Science.
