About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 where appropriate. You will deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, combining practical investigations with theoretical learning to develop students' understanding and encourage scientific thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well-structured Science lessons for students of varying abilities.

• Develop students' knowledge and understanding across the sciences.

• Organise practical activities in line with relevant health and safety procedures.

• Assess progress, monitor attainment and provide constructive feedback.

• Prepare students for assessments and examinations.

• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and encourage active participation.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and departmental development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong subject knowledge in Science, with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics welcomed.

• Can make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging.

• Demonstrates effective classroom management and communication skills.

• Is committed to raising attainment and helping students reach their potential.
