An established Independent School in Richmond upon Thames is looking to appoint a practical and enthusiastic Music Technician to support its Music Department. The school offers a broad extracurricular and academic programme, encouraging students to develop their musical interests and performance skills.
The Music Department provides opportunities for students to participate in instrumental lessons, rehearsals, performances and music-based activities throughout the academic year.
The Role
The Music Technician will assist with the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring that instruments, equipment and teaching spaces are prepared for lessons and rehearsals.
Responsibilities will include setting up musical equipment, maintaining instruments, organising resources and assisting with the preparation of performance spaces. The successful candidate will also help manage equipment storage, carry out basic checks, report faults and support the organisation of concerts and school events.

Requirements
Applicants should have an interest in music and experience handling musical instruments or technical equipment. Previous experience in a school, music department or performance environment would be advantageous.
