A well-regarded Secondary School in Ealing is seeking a creative and organised Art Technician to join its Art and Design Department. The school encourages students to explore their creativity and develop practical skills through a varied and engaging curriculum.

The department provides students with opportunities to work with different materials and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed-media projects.

The Role

The Art Technician will support teachers with the preparation and organisation of practical lessons. Duties will include preparing art materials, setting up equipment, maintaining supplies and ensuring classrooms are ready for students.

The successful candidate will help organise paints, paper, clay and other resources, monitor stock levels and assist with ordering materials. They will also help maintain equipment, keep workspaces clean and tidy and support the preparation of displays showcasing students' work.

Requirements

Applicants should have an interest in art and creative subjects, alongside good organisational and practical skills. Previous experience working as an Art Technician or within a creative environment would be beneficial.

Candidates should be reliable, proactive and confident working with different materials and equipment. An understanding of health and safety procedures is desirable.
