A forward-thinking secondary academy in Kettering is seeking a versatile MFL Teacher for September 2027. Applications are welcomed from teachers with a French or Spanish specialism who can deliver engaging lessons and help students develop the confidence to communicate in another language.

The Role

  • Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4, depending on specialism.

  • Develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

  • Deliver structured lessons covering grammar, vocabulary and cultural understanding.

  • Support assessment preparation and monitor individual progress.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and language enrichment opportunities.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong knowledge of at least one modern foreign language.

  • Can engage students through varied and interactive teaching approaches.

  • Maintains high expectations and positive classroom relationships.

  • Is committed to continuous professional development.

The Environment

The academy promotes a broad curriculum and encourages students to develop an understanding of different cultures and perspectives. The languages team shares resources and supports collaborative planning. There will be opportunities to contribute to enrichment activities and help develop the department's language provision.
