A community-focused secondary school in Acle is seeking a dedicated RE Teacher to join its humanities department as soon as possible. The school wants someone who can encourage respectful discussion, explore different religious and non-religious perspectives and help students develop their ability to evaluate complex ethical questions.

The Role

  • Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4.

  • Cover religious beliefs, philosophical questions and contemporary ethical issues.

  • Develop students' ability to compare viewpoints and construct balanced arguments.

  • Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and wider humanities activities.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong RE subject knowledge.

  • Can facilitate thoughtful and respectful classroom discussions.

  • Creates an inclusive environment where students feel confident expressing opinions.

  • Is available to begin at short notice.
