A welcoming secondary academy in Downham Market is seeking a Geography Teacher to provide maternity cover as soon as possible. The school is looking for an enthusiastic educator who can encourage geographical curiosity and help students understand environmental change, global development and the relationships between people and places.

The Role

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver lessons covering physical landscapes, urban environments and global issues.

  • Develop students' geographical enquiry, map-reading and data-analysis skills.

  • Prepare students for GCSE assessments and examinations.

  • Support fieldwork and practical learning opportunities.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has secure knowledge of the secondary Geography curriculum.

  • Can make geographical concepts relevant through real-world examples.

  • Differentiates effectively to support varied learning needs.

  • Is available to start at short notice.
