About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 where appropriate. You will deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, encouraging students to develop their analytical skills, scientific knowledge and confidence through practical and theoretical learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that meet the needs of different learners.

• Make complex scientific concepts accessible through clear explanations and practical activities.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Prepare students for assessments and examinations.

• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and encourage active participation.

• Ensure practical experiments are delivered in accordance with health and safety procedures.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and departmental development.

What We're Looking For

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Strong subject knowledge across Science, with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics welcomed.

• The ability to deliver creative and well-structured lessons.

• Effective classroom management and communication skills.

• A commitment to raising attainment and supporting students of all abilities.
