About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Reception class, delivering an engaging Early Years curriculum through a balance of structured teaching and play-based learning. You will support children's social, emotional and academic development while helping them build confidence, independence and essential early learning skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative lessons and activities in line with the EYFS framework.

• Support early development in communication, language, literacy and numeracy.

• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.

• Monitor children's progress through observations and ongoing assessments.

• Promote positive behaviour, social skills and emotional development.

• Work closely with teaching assistants, parents and colleagues to support each child's needs.

• Ensure safeguarding and welfare procedures are followed at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has experience within an Early Years or primary school setting.

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.

• Can create engaging, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

• Has excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Is passionate about supporting young children's early development.
