A progressive secondary academy in Huntingdon is seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join its department in January 2027. The school is committed to encouraging active lifestyles, improving participation and developing students' confidence through a broad and engaging physical education programme.

The Role

  • Teach PE across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver practical lessons covering a range of sports and physical activities.

  • Develop students' physical skills, tactical understanding and fitness knowledge.

  • Support examination classes with relevant theory-based learning.

  • Contribute to extracurricular clubs, sporting events and school competitions.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong PE subject knowledge and practical teaching experience.

  • Can deliver safe, well-structured and inclusive lessons.

  • Encourages teamwork, resilience and positive sporting behaviour.

  • Is committed to supporting students beyond the classroom.
