About the Role

You will provide essential technical support to the Design and Technology department, ensuring classrooms and workshops are fully prepared for practical lessons.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons.

• Maintaining machinery, tools and workshop equipment.

• Supporting staff with demonstrations and practical classroom activities.

• Monitoring workshop health and safety procedures.

• Maintaining stock levels and ordering materials when required.

• Ensuring workshops and preparation areas remain clean, safe and organised.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a practical, technical or workshop-based environment.

• Experience within a school Design and Technology department is desirable.

• Knowledge of workshop equipment, tools and machinery.

• Understanding of health and safety procedures.

• A proactive approach and the ability to support a busy teaching department.

An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
