This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical maintenance skills who takes pride in ensuring a school site remains clean, organised and ready for daily use.

About the Role

• Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY tasks.

• Complete routine checks of buildings, grounds and facilities.

• Assist with opening and securing the school site.

• Keep external areas, entrances and communal spaces tidy.

• Report maintenance issues, hazards and repairs requiring specialist attention.

• Support contractor access and monitor maintenance work.

• Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and preparing rooms.

• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain appropriate site records.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous caretaking, premises or facilities maintenance experience is essential.

• School-based experience is highly desirable.

• Practical skills and confidence carrying out minor repairs.

• An understanding of site security and health and safety.

• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.

• Flexible and willing to assist with the day-to-day needs of the school.

An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
