A secondary academy in Waltham Abbey is looking to appoint a Spanish Teacher from January 2027. The successful candidate will be passionate about language learning and able to create lessons that build fluency, develop cultural awareness and prepare students to approach assessments with confidence.

The Role

  • Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan lessons that develop vocabulary, grammar and confident communication.

  • Build students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

  • Monitor achievement and provide targeted feedback.

  • Contribute to shared planning and departmental enrichment activities.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong Spanish subject knowledge.

  • Uses engaging strategies to encourage participation and retention.

  • Maintains clear routines and high expectations.

  • Is committed to helping students make measurable progress.
