A secondary school in Linton is seeking a thoughtful RE Teacher for a permanent part-time position starting as soon as possible. The school wants an educator who can encourage open-minded discussion, develop students' understanding of religious and non-religious worldviews, and help them form reasoned responses to ethical questions.

The Role

  • Teach RE across KS3 and KS4.

  • Explore religious beliefs, philosophical questions and contemporary ethical issues.

  • Develop students' skills in comparison, evaluation and structured argument.

  • Assess written work and provide clear feedback on progress.

  • Work with colleagues to maintain an inclusive and balanced curriculum.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has secure subject knowledge and a thoughtful approach to sensitive topics.

  • Can facilitate respectful discussion and independent thinking.

  • Supports students with differing abilities and perspectives.

  • Is interested in a permanent part-time teaching opportunity.
