A well-established secondary school in Wickford is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its team as soon as possible. The Role

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver engaging lessons using a range of literary and non-fiction texts.

  • Develop analytical writing, comprehension and examination skills.

  • Use assessment data to identify learning needs and plan targeted support.

  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and standardisation.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.

  • Can adapt teaching to support a broad range of abilities.

  • Establishes positive relationships and clear classroom expectations.

  • Is available to start at short notice.
