A modern secondary school in Royston is looking for an enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to provide maternity cover as soon as possible. The school is seeking a teacher who can deliver structured, engaging language lessons, improve students' confidence in communication and help learners make steady progress towards their qualifications.

The Role

  • Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4.

  • Build students' confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

  • Use retrieval practice and regular assessment to reinforce vocabulary and grammar.

  • Provide targeted feedback and support students preparing for examinations.

  • Collaborate with the languages team to maintain consistent teaching and assessment approaches.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong Spanish subject knowledge.

  • Can create purposeful lessons with clear learning objectives.

  • Adapts activities to meet the needs of different learners.

  • Is available to start at short notice and can provide continuity for students.
