A welcoming secondary school in Dereham is seeking a committed French Teacher to join its languages department as soon as possible. The school wants someone who can make language learning engaging, build students' confidence in speaking French and encourage an appreciation of French-speaking cultures.

The Role

  • Teach French across KS3 and KS4.

  • Develop listening, speaking, reading and writing through structured language practice.

  • Teach grammar and vocabulary in a way that supports confident communication.

  • Track progress and provide focused feedback to improve examination performance.

  • Contribute to language enrichment activities and departmental planning.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong French language skills and sound curriculum knowledge.

  • Uses a variety of teaching strategies to engage students.

  • Creates an inclusive classroom where learners feel confident practising a new language.

  • Can take up the position at short notice.
