A welcoming secondary school in Beccles is seeking a knowledgeable History Teacher to join its humanities team as soon as possible. The school is looking for someone who can bring historical events to life, encourage independent enquiry and help students develop a deeper understanding of the forces that have shaped the modern world.

The Role

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan lessons that develop chronology, source analysis and historical interpretation.

  • Cover key periods, significant individuals and major historical developments.

  • Prepare students for written assessments and GCSE examination questions.

  • Work with humanities colleagues to maintain engaging and well-sequenced curriculum materials.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Demonstrates strong historical subject knowledge.

  • Can make complex historical concepts accessible to different learners.
