Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

A diverse secondary academy in Wellingborough is seeking an adaptable MFL Teacher to provide maternity cover from January 2027. The school welcomes applications from teachers specialising in French, Spanish or both, and is looking for someone who can encourage students to communicate confidently and develop a lasting interest in languages.

The Role

  • Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4, depending on subject specialism.

  • Plan lessons that develop grammar, vocabulary and communication skills.

  • Use interactive teaching approaches to encourage participation and build confidence.

  • Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback.

  • Work with the languages department to maintain curriculum continuity during the cover period.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong subject knowledge in French, Spanish or both.

  • Can deliver engaging lessons and adapt to different learning needs.

  • Establishes positive classroom routines and high expectations.

  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and effective teamwork.
