Our client is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Cambridge. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Mathematics and a genuine interest in helping pupils develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to succeed.

You will deliver a carefully planned programme of lessons that builds students' knowledge progressively, from core numeracy and algebraic reasoning to more advanced mathematical concepts appropriate to their year group. Lessons should encourage pupils to explain their thinking, identify patterns, apply methods accurately and develop effective strategies for solving unfamiliar problems.

The department values teachers who can combine clear instruction with opportunities for collaboration, independent practice and mathematical discussion. You will assess student understanding regularly, provide constructive feedback and use assessment information to adapt teaching and address gaps in knowledge.

Experience and Qualifications

• A Maths Teacher able to teach Mathematics across the relevant key stages.

• A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, and QTS.

• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts in an accessible manner.

• Experience planning differentiated lessons and supporting mixed-ability groups.

• Effective classroom management, communication and assessment skills.
