Maths Teacher – Role and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Teach key areas including algebra, geometry, number, ratio, probability and statistics.

• Develop students' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving techniques.

• Prepare students for assessments and GCSE examinations.

• Adapt lessons to support students who need additional guidance and challenge higher-attaining learners.

• Monitor progress through regular assessment, marking and feedback.

• Use varied teaching resources to explain concepts and reinforce understanding.

• Maintain a positive classroom environment with clear routines and expectations.

• Contribute to departmental planning, revision sessions and curriculum development.

Salary
