A creative secondary school in Haverhill is seeking a passionate Drama Teacher to provide maternity cover as soon as possible. The school wants someone who can inspire students through performance, practical exploration and script work while building confidence, collaboration and creative expression.

The Role

  • Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver practical lessons in performance, improvisation and dramatic techniques.

  • Support students in developing performance skills and evaluating their own work.

  • Prepare examination groups for relevant practical and written assessments.

  • Contribute to rehearsals, productions and extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical Drama.

  • Can manage active learning environments and maintain clear expectations.

  • Encourages creativity while supporting students of different confidence levels.

  • Can begin at short notice.
