An inclusive community academy in Chatteris is looking to appoint an engaging RE Teacher from January 2027. The school values respectful discussion, critical thinking and cultural awareness, and is seeking a teacher who can encourage students to explore religious beliefs, philosophical questions and ethical issues with confidence.

The Role

  • Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver lessons exploring religious traditions, ethics and contemporary issues.

  • Encourage students to develop reasoned arguments and consider different perspectives.

  • Monitor progress and support preparation for relevant assessments.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities across the humanities.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has secure subject knowledge and effective communication skills.

  • Can facilitate thoughtful discussion in an inclusive classroom.

  • Uses assessment and feedback to support academic progress.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and positive student relationships.
