School Cleaner – Liverpool | Permanent

  • Hours: 12.5 hours per week, all year round

  • Working pattern: Afternoons, 15:10–17:40. Morning shifts, 05:30–08:00, may also be considered.

  • Salary: Grade 1, SCP 3 (indicative)

A school in Liverpool is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. This is a permanent opportunity suited to someone who takes pride in their work and can work independently as part of a wider cleaning team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets and other designated areas to the required standard.

  • Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.

  • Replenish toiletries and cleaning supplies as required.

  • Use cleaning equipment and products safely, following health and safety procedures.

  • Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment or low stock levels to the supervisor.

  • Keep cleaning equipment and storage areas clean and tidy.

What We’re Looking For

  • A reliable, organised and thorough approach to work.

  • Good awareness of health and safety.

  • The ability to work independently and follow instructions.

  • Flexibility to provide cover for colleagues when required.

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
