Wayman Education is seeking a Computer Science teacher for a supportive secondary school in Walsall. This opportunity would suit a teacher who can build pupils' confidence in programming, computational thinking and digital problem-solving.

The School

The school recognises the importance of computing education in preparing pupils for further study and future careers.

The Role

  • Teach Computing and Computer Science across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver programming lessons and develop pupils' understanding of algorithms and data.

  • Support pupils in applying computational thinking to practical problems.

  • Assess understanding and provide feedback to improve progress.

  • Promote responsible technology use and safe digital practices.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS and a relevant computing or Computer Science teaching qualification.

  • Has strong subject knowledge, including programming fundamentals.

  • Can explain technical concepts clearly and adapt learning for different abilities.

  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and assessment practice.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and continued professional development.

Salary

MPS/UPS, dependent on experience and the school's pay arrangements.
