A collaborative primary school in Wickford is looking to appoint a Year 3 Teacher from January 2027. The school is seeking a teacher who can help pupils make a successful transition into Key Stage 2, develop their independence and build secure foundations across the curriculum.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum.

  • Develop reading comprehension, written expression and mathematical fluency.

  • Encourage pupils to become independent, curious learners.

  • Assess progress regularly and adapt teaching to address emerging needs.

  • Work with the year-group team to share resources and maintain curriculum continuity.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Understands the learning and pastoral needs of lower Key Stage 2 pupils.

  • Can create an organised, stimulating and inclusive classroom.

  • Uses positive behaviour strategies and clear learning objectives.

  • Is keen to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school life.
