A welcoming primary school in Borehamwood is seeking a motivated Year 2 Teacher for January 2027. The school is looking for someone who can create a purposeful and nurturing classroom, strengthen pupils' core skills and support their transition towards the next stage of primary education.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.

• Build pupils' confidence in reading, writing and mathematics.

• Use formative assessment to identify learning needs and plan next steps.

• Establish consistent classroom routines and positive behaviour expectations.

• Work with teaching assistants, colleagues and families to support pupil progress.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has a good understanding of Key Stage 1 teaching and child development.

• Creates an inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident to participate.

• Can adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.

• Communicates effectively with colleagues and parents or carers.
