An ambitious secondary academy in Witham is seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join its established and well-resourced department in January 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to promote participation, improve sporting performance and help students develop confidence through physical education.

The Role

  • Teach PE across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular sport.

  • Deliver engaging practical lessons that accommodate different abilities and fitness levels.

  • Support the development of school teams, sporting fixtures and enrichment activities.

  • Monitor student progress and encourage positive attitudes towards health and wellbeing.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop an inclusive and ambitious PE curriculum.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong subject knowledge and effective classroom and practical teaching skills.

  • Can motivate students and promote teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive participation.
