About the School

A welcoming primary school in Frome is looking for a compassionate and organised Family Support Administrator to help coordinate communication with parents and support the school's wider pastoral work. The successful candidate will be confident handling sensitive enquiries and helping families access appropriate school-based support.

About the Role

You will provide administrative assistance to the pastoral and family support teams, ensuring that communication, records and follow-up actions are managed effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to parent enquiries and directing families to the appropriate staff.

• Coordinating appointments, meetings and family support discussions.

• Maintaining accurate records of communications and agreed actions.

• Supporting attendance-related communication and family engagement initiatives.

• Liaising with school staff and relevant external services when appropriate.

• Ensuring sensitive information is handled confidentially and safeguarding concerns are escalated promptly.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous school administration, family support or pastoral administration experience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• A patient, approachable and professional manner when supporting families.

An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
