Wayman Education is seeking a motivated French Teacher who can develop pupils' language skills, improve their confidence and encourage an appreciation of French-speaking cultures.

The School

This supportive secondary school is committed to effective teaching, positive relationships and a broad curriculum. Staff are encouraged to share good practice and provide pupils with the guidance they need to make progress.

The Role

  • Teach French across KS3 and KS4.

  • Develop pupils' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

  • Plan engaging lessons using a variety of resources and activities.

  • Prepare pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations where appropriate.

  • Monitor attainment and provide clear feedback.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong French language knowledge.

  • Has experience teaching MFL at secondary level.

  • Can motivate pupils and support different levels of ability.

  • Demonstrates effective organisation and classroom management.

Salary

MPS/UPS, depending on experience and the school's pay policy.
