A primary school in Stevenage is looking to appoint a Year 2 Teacher who can provide consistent, engaging teaching and support pupils as they consolidate their Key Stage 1 learning. The school welcomes applications from teachers who combine strong curriculum knowledge with a nurturing classroom approach.

The Role

  • Lead a Year 2 class and deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

  • Develop phonics, reading fluency, writing and mathematical understanding.

  • Plan differentiated activities to meet pupils’ learning needs.

  • Assess attainment and use feedback to support progress.

  • Work closely with support staff and families to address individual needs.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching primary-aged pupils.

  • Can maintain positive behaviour and clear classroom routines.

  • Uses assessment to identify areas for further development.

  • Is available to take up the position as soon as possible.
