A primary school in Saffron Walden is seeking a Year 3 Teacher to support pupils as they move into Key Stage 2. The successful applicant will deliver a broad curriculum, develop pupils’ independence and establish strong foundations for learning across the upper primary years.

The Role

• Lead a Year 3 class and deliver the primary curriculum.

• Develop reading comprehension, written communication and mathematical fluency.

• Plan engaging lessons that encourage curiosity and problem-solving.

• Monitor attainment and adapt teaching to pupils’ needs.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and year-group colleagues.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has a secure understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum expectations.

• Can establish positive routines and maintain high expectations.

• Uses assessment to identify learning gaps and next steps.

• Communicates effectively with parents and colleagues.
