About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons that encourage students to question, investigate and understand the world around them. You will create a positive learning environment where pupils can develop practical skills, strengthen scientific knowledge and build confidence in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, depending on your specialism.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Making scientific concepts accessible through engaging explanations and practical activities.

• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

• Adapting teaching to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.

• Maintaining positive behaviour and high classroom expectations.

• Collaborating with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching practice.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Strong subject knowledge in Science, with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics welcomed.

• Effective classroom management and communication skills.

• The ability to engage students and encourage independent scientific thinking.

• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and continued professional development.
