Wayman Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English for a supportive secondary school in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys developing students' literacy, communication and analytical skills while helping them build confidence in English Language and Literature.

The School

The school places a strong emphasis on academic progress, inclusive teaching and positive relationships. It aims to create an environment where students are encouraged to develop their abilities and staff are supported in delivering high-quality lessons.

The Role

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing and analytical skills.

  • Prepare students for GCSE assessments and examinations.

  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet different learning needs.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice.

  • Can motivate students with different abilities and learning needs.

  • Is committed to improving literacy and student outcomes.

Salary

MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
