A specialist learning provision in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to deliver personalised learning for pupils with additional needs. The school is looking for a patient, adaptable practitioner who can create a structured environment and help children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

• Plan and deliver personalised learning activities for primary-aged pupils.

• Adapt teaching to pupils’ individual needs, communication styles and learning profiles.

• Set clear, achievable learning objectives and monitor progress.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, families and relevant professionals.

• Promote communication, independence, emotional regulation and positive relationships.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has experience supporting pupils with SEND or a strong commitment to inclusive practice.

• Can adapt resources and teaching approaches to individual needs.

• Maintains calm, consistent routines and clear expectations.

• Communicates effectively with colleagues, families and external professionals.
