Role Overview

A welcoming secondary school in Dudley is seeking an inspiring, dedicated, and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join their supportive Mathematics department ASAP. In this full-time role, you will deliver dynamic, structured Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A Level) depending on experience. You will build pupils' confidence in problem-solving, foster analytical thinking, and support students of all abilities in reaching their full academic potential. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are equally encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in alignment with the National Curriculum and GCSE exam board specifications.

  • Apply mastery teaching techniques and varied instructional methods to make abstract mathematical concepts accessible and practical.

  • Track student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing targeted interventions to close achievement gaps and boost GCSE attainment.

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of SEND and EAL students while providing extension tasks for high attainers aiming for top grades.

  • Collaborate with department staff to share resources, develop schemes of learning, and assist with extra-curricular maths support and revision sessions.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related subject (e.g., Physics, Engineering, Finance).

  • Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.

  • Proven teaching experience or strong placement record in secondary Mathematics, with solid knowledge of current GCSE frameworks.

  • Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Legal right to work in the UK.
