A community primary school in Halstead is seeking a Year 3 Teacher to support pupils as they develop greater independence and deepen their understanding across the curriculum.

The Role

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach the full Year 3 curriculum through well-structured lessons.

• Literacy Development: Strengthen reading comprehension, spelling, writing and vocabulary.

• Mathematical Confidence: Develop calculation fluency, reasoning and problem-solving.

• Differentiated Learning: Adapt teaching to meet pupils’ individual needs.

• Progress Monitoring: Assess understanding and use feedback to inform future planning.

The Candidate

• Qualifications: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Primary Expertise: Understands the expectations of lower Key Stage 2.

• Inclusive Practice: Can support pupils who need additional guidance while extending confident learners.

• Teamwork: Works effectively with teaching assistants and colleagues.
