Are you an experienced primary educator who can prepare pupils for end-of-Key-Stage assessments while maintaining an engaging and balanced curriculum?

A primary academy in Ware is seeking a Year 6 Teacher to join its upper Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will combine focused assessment preparation with the development of independence, confidence and readiness for secondary school.

The Role

• Upper KS2 Delivery: Teach the Year 6 curriculum across core and foundation subjects.

• SATs Preparation: Deliver targeted English and mathematics teaching, including reasoning and comprehension.

• Assessment-Led Planning: Use pupil data to identify gaps and organise appropriate intervention.

• Transition Support: Help pupils develop the independence and resilience needed for secondary education.

• Parent Communication: Share progress and relevant concerns with families.

The Candidate

• Qualifications: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Curriculum Expertise: Has strong upper Key Stage 2 knowledge.

• Assessment Skills: Can use assessment effectively without narrowing the broader curriculum.

• Classroom Leadership: Maintains clear routines and high expectations.
