Are you an energetic PE specialist who can combine practical sporting instruction with an understanding of fitness, performance and student wellbeing?

A secondary academy in Huntingdon is seeking a PE Teacher to contribute to its physical education programme. The successful candidate will help students develop practical skills, improve performance and understand the value of lifelong physical activity.

The Role

• Practical Instruction: Teach a broad range of sports and physical activities across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching where appropriate.

• Performance Development: Help students improve technique, tactical understanding, fitness and teamwork.

• Assessment: Monitor practical performance and provide clear guidance for improvement.

• Extracurricular Sport: Support clubs, fixtures and wider sporting activities as required.

The Candidate

• Qualifications: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Subject Knowledge: Has strong practical PE knowledge and an understanding of safe participation.

• Motivational Teaching: Can engage students with different sporting interests and abilities.

• Organisation: Manages practical lessons effectively and maintains clear expectations.
