Are you a technically confident Computer Science educator who can develop students’ programming ability, computational thinking and understanding of the systems that underpin modern technology?

A secondary academy in Colchester is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to contribute to its digital curriculum. The successful candidate will combine clear theoretical instruction with practical programming and problem-solving activities.

The Role

  • Programming Excellence: Teach programming concepts, algorithms, data structures and computational thinking across the relevant key stages.

  • Systems Knowledge: Deliver lessons covering computer architecture, networks, data representation and cybersecurity fundamentals.

  • GCSE and A-Level Preparation: Support examination groups with programming tasks, written assessments and structured revision.

  • Digital Enrichment: Contribute to coding projects, computing clubs and opportunities for students to explore technology beyond the classroom.

The Candidate

  • Qualifications: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrates confident programming knowledge and a strong understanding of the Computer Science curriculum.
