The Role

• Provide first aid and appropriate medical support to pupils and staff when required.

• Assess student health concerns and respond appropriately to illness, injuries and medical emergencies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential health records and medication documentation.

• Support pupils with ongoing medical conditions, following individual healthcare plans.

• Administer medication in line with school policies and relevant procedures.

• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, school staff and external healthcare professionals.

• Promote good health, hygiene and wellbeing across the school community.

What We're Looking For

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or paediatric setting.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A calm, caring and professional approach when responding to medical needs.

• A sound understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety procedures.

• The ability to work independently while collaborating with the wider school team.
