Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A primary academy in Flitwick is seeking a Year 6 Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave. The school requires someone who can maintain pupil progress, prepare children for their end-of-Key-Stage assessments and support a smooth transition to secondary school.
The Role
Teach the Year 6 curriculum across core and foundation subjects.
Plan focused English and mathematics lessons in preparation for SATs.
Develop reading comprehension, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Use assessment information to plan targeted revision and intervention.
Support pupils’ confidence, resilience and readiness for secondary education.
Communicate progress and relevant concerns to parents and carers.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience in upper Key Stage 2 or strong Year 6 curriculum knowledge.
Can balance assessment preparation with a broad, engaging curriculum.
Demonstrates effective organisation and classroom management.
