Role: Year 2 Class Teacher
Location: Rayleigh, Essex

Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A welcoming primary school in Rayleigh is seeking a motivated Year 2 Teacher to join its Key Stage 1 team. The successful candidate will support pupils as they develop core literacy and numeracy skills and prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.
The Role
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.
Develop pupils’ reading fluency, writing skills and mathematical understanding.
Monitor progress through regular assessment and observation.
Adapt activities to support pupils with different learning needs.
Maintain positive classroom routines and effective behaviour management.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching or supporting pupils within Key Stage 1.
Can create a stimulating, inclusive classroom.
Communicates effectively with parents and colleagues.
