A secondary school in Wisbech is seeking an RE Teacher for a temporary appointment. The department needs a teacher who can deliver balanced lessons on religious beliefs, ethical questions and contemporary issues while encouraging respectful discussion.

The Role

  • Teach RE across KS3 and KS4.

  • Cover religious traditions, philosophical questions and ethical debates.

  • Develop pupils’ evaluation, extended-writing and critical-thinking skills.

  • Assess understanding and provide targeted feedback.

  • Maintain continuity with existing curriculum plans.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has sound knowledge of religious and non-religious worldviews.

  • Can facilitate inclusive classroom discussion.

  • Is able to adapt quickly to established schemes of work.
