Role: Teacher of Computer Science – KS3–KS5
Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

A secondary school with an emphasis on digital learning is seeking a Computer Science Teacher for the next academic year. The successful candidate will help pupils develop programming skills, computational thinking and a strong understanding of computer systems.

The Role

  • Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities where appropriate.

  • Deliver lessons covering algorithms, programming, networks and data representation.

  • Develop practical coding tasks and independent problem-solving activities.

  • Prepare examination groups for written and programming assessments.

  • Contribute to computing enrichment and curriculum development.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has secure programming knowledge and subject expertise.

  • Can explain technical concepts clearly to mixed-ability groups.

  • Is committed to digital literacy and pupil progress.
