A secondary school is seeking a part-time History Teacher to join its humanities department for the next academic year. The position would suit a teacher looking for a reduced timetable while contributing to curriculum planning and pupil progress.

The Role

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching depending on experience.

  • Develop pupils’ understanding of chronology, historical interpretations and evidence.

  • Teach source evaluation and structured essay writing.

  • Support examination classes with revision and feedback.

  • Collaborate with colleagues on schemes of work and assessment.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong historical subject knowledge.

  • Can encourage informed discussion and independent thinking.

  • Demonstrates effective planning and classroom management.
