About the Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach up to Key Stage 5 where appropriate. You will help students develop problem-solving skills, strengthen their mathematical understanding and build confidence when tackling challenging concepts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering well-structured Maths lessons that cater to different abilities.

• Explaining mathematical concepts clearly and using varied teaching strategies to engage learners.

• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support improvement.

• Preparing students for examinations through effective revision and targeted interventions.

• Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and encouraging positive participation.

• Differentiating lessons to ensure all students have opportunities to succeed.

• Collaborating with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching practice.

What We're Looking For

The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine commitment to student achievement.

Applicants should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.

• Strong lesson-planning, assessment and classroom management skills.

• The ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• A commitment to raising attainment and supporting students with different learning needs.
