Our client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their secondary school in Bishop's Stortford from January. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about mathematical learning and wants to help students build the confidence, accuracy and problem-solving skills needed to succeed throughout secondary education.

The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver well-structured lessons, explain challenging ideas in accessible ways and create a classroom environment where students are encouraged to persevere. The successful candidate will support students in developing fluency across number, algebra, geometry, statistics and other curriculum areas, while helping them understand how mathematical skills can be applied to unfamiliar problems and real-life situations.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons across the required key stages.

• Use assessment data and feedback to monitor progress and address misconceptions.

• Prepare students for examinations and develop effective independent-study habits.

• Establish consistent classroom routines and promote positive behaviour.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and improve curriculum delivery.

Experience and Qualifications:

• A relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, with QTS where required.

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.

• Experience delivering or the ability to deliver engaging secondary Mathematics lessons.

• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom-management skills.
