Opportunity to teach Psychology within a supportive academic environment
Ideal for an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys developing students' critical thinking and research skills
Our client is seeking a motivated and engaging Psychology Teacher to join a successful school in Peterborough from January. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a genuine interest in human behaviour, cognition and psychological research to inspire students and help them develop a deeper understanding of the subject.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate complex psychological theories clearly, encourage students to question evidence and develop lessons that connect theoretical knowledge with real-world examples. Applications are welcomed from experienced Psychology Teachers and suitably qualified ECTs. Candidates with experience of A-Level Psychology will be particularly well suited to the role, although the precise teaching allocation will depend on departmental requirements. A strong understanding of examination assessment objectives and the ability to prepare students for demanding written assessments would be an advantage.
Psychology is a subject that encourages students to explore memory, attachment, social influence, mental processes and individual differences. The successful teacher will help students develop the skills to interpret research, consider different perspectives and evaluate the strengths and limitations of psychological explanations. The school is looking for someone who can combine strong subject knowledge with enthusiasm, clear explanations and effective classroom practice.
